Having a comprehensive health and safety program in place helps increase workplace safety and prevents potential liabilities for employers. For 25 years Blakeman & Associates has provided onsite consulting, safety training, compliance audits, and safety policy manuals. Whether your regulatory concerns are related to OSHA, DADS, DOT (FMCSA), ISNetworld®, or other Contractor Compliance systems, Blakeman has the knowledge, experience, and resources to help employers become compliant with industry standards and regulations. Blakeman helps employers understand that safety compliance is an ongoing evolution of training, auditing, and accountability, which helps you keep pace with your regulatory environment.
Many employers are unaware of the regulations that apply to their workplace, as well as the hazards that their employees are exposed to on a regular basis. Before conducting safety training, Blakeman & Associates will help employers identify the hazards and regulatory concerns inherent in their business. This enables us to determine where your employees require training, and to what level they need to be trained.
Blakeman provides several levels of safety training, including awareness and competent level training, as well as refresher training. Employee training is an ongoing requirement to be compliant with industry regulations and to effectively deal with workplace hazards.
Awareness training will address general workplace hazards that affect all employees, such as bloodborne pathogens, electrical hazards, hazardous communication, and more. Competent level training will enable your employees to better handle hazards more specific to your company, including fall protection, powered industrial trucks (forklift safety), crane rigging and signaling, and more.
Our safety training can be conducted on-site or online, and in some cases, in our office. This allows us to accommodate the specific training needs of your company and provides greater flexibility. In addition, safety training is available in English and Spanish.
Blakeman & Associates offers unique courses in English and Spanish such as the OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 hour course, for both General Industry and Construction. This list outlines our other unique courses.
Blakeman & Associates is also an authorized PEC Premier SafeLandUSA training provider. We offer this class in English and Spanish, on-site and in our office. To see a schedule of upcoming training classes and to learn more about our SafeLand/SafeGulf training, visit this page.
Employers have an obligation to provide written documentation addressing the hazards employees encounter in the workplace. Blakeman & Associates assembles a customized manual to help ensure compliance with current state and federal OSHA regulations. Whether your business requires General Industry, Construction Industry, or a combination of the two, Blakeman helps employers understand when and which regulations apply to their business. The manuals we create contain programs addressing general safety concerns, emergency response plans, and more. Through detailed discussions and review of the employer’s facilities, we develop additional company-specific programs to address hazards unique to their workplace.
Blakeman & Associates has developed a unique safety support program that has benefitted our clients for decades. The program combines onsite consulting and training with unlimited telephone support from Blakeman’s team of experts. Additionally, our safety support clients have access to immigration labor and employment law attorneys. The combination of on-site and telephone support services creates an effective employee management tool for today’s businesses.
As part of the Blakeman Retention Support Program, our team of professionals will conduct a safety survey to determine the current needs of the company and evaluate the existing priorities. We offer safety, HR, and DOT auditing and training through the program, as well as record-keeping evaluation. Customized for each client, the program is available in four or eight hour increments, with frequency determined based on the client’s needs.
