Blakeman & Associates was established in 1988 to provide businesses with resources for their safety and human resource compliance needs. Although originally focused on providing “General Industry” safety and HR services, Blakeman & Associates adapted to meet the ever changing needs of clients and provide solutions for numerous industry-specific compliance and regulatory issues in areas of Safety, HR, DOT, *ISNetworld®, and more.
In the late 80s, when the cost of Workers’ Compensation started to spiral out of control, there was a mass exodus of companies who knew they could reduce costs and have greater flexibility by creating customized benefit programs. However, responsible “Non-Subscribers” needed to have their own safety programs and HR policies in place when opting out of Workers’ Compensation. This created a huge demand for human resources and safety help — a need Blakeman & Associates identified and responded to accordingly.
